Every family has a unique response to having a loved one die. We believe that by providing support and direction to family members, they are more comfortable in providing care. Families also find comfort that they are involved in making their loved one’s final days as comfortable and as meaningful as possible.

After the death of a patient, our team continues to be in contact with the family for more than a year to help them deal with their loss. Although grief is a normal and natural response to loss, many people find that they are unprepared to deal with the strong feelings that accompany the grieving process.

As a true community partner, Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice offers support groups tailored to the specific needs of adults, teens, children and family caregivers following the loss of a loved one. Our Bereavement Support Groups provide an opportunity for participants to express feelings, share experiences, and develop friendships with others who have experienced the loss of a loved one. We also offer individual counseling and support, and emergency response to schools and businesses.

Please call Judy Seifert, Bereavement coordinator, at (781) 338-7861 for further information.
