Hallmark Health VNA relies on the generosity of community members, businesses, foundations, patients, and caregivers to provide financial support to ensure that we are able to continue to care for patients regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay. Many times, patients and their caregivers would like to express thanks for the care they received. As our staff is not allowed to accept gifts of any kind, many make a donation in honor of the staff that cared for them during the recovery period.
There are many ways to give to Hallmark Health VNA, now and in the future, that help make it possible to provide others with the same quality care.
Contributions can be directed to a particular program, made in memory or honor of a loved one, or to honor a caregiver.
Gifts in honor of a particular person or caregiver(s) pay tribute to that individual. Many patients wish to show appreciation to the staff that has provided them with care.
A memorial donation can be made in the name of a loved one. This is a lasting tribute and honors the memory of that individual. Oftentimes, in the obituary section of the newspaper, families request that donations be made to a charity of one’s choice. Hallmark Health VNA would greatly appreciate being considered as your designated charity when you make memorial contributions. All memorial contributions are individually acknowledged to the family of the deceased. The amount of the donation is not disclosed.
Some donors also make gifts through their wills. A bequest is a realistic way for a donor to make a substantial contribution to Hallmark Health VNA. You should consult with an estate planner or attorney to determine a plan that is meaningful to you.
Donation of a life insurance policy is also another way in which you can make a substantial gift to Hallmark Health VNA. Please contact us if you wish to make such a gift, so that our Development Office may assist you in the arrangements.
Although many of the gifts we receive are used for general patient expenses, some patients and their families like to direct gifts to a particular program that has special meaning to them. Gifts may be directed to one of these specific programs:
- Community Outreach for Seniors
- Nurse Education Fund
- Palliative Care
- Capital Equipment Fund
- Maternal/Child Health
Many employers offer a matching gifts program. By participating in such a program, your employer will match your donation in its entirety or match a portion of your donation to Hallmark Health VNA. If your employer or your spouse’s employer has a Matching Gifts Program, you can receive a form from the employer.
All donations made to Hallmark Health VNA are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
